Andrea Ceccon

Bachelor's degree in literature at Ca' Foscari University of Venice with an exchange program at the Capital Normal University of Beijing. Master degree in Modern Philology at the University of Florence with a dissertation in the history and philosophy of biology entitled "Natural Election: How Italy Introduced Darwin's Theories" and Erasmus program at the University of Bergen. Internship at the library of the Galileo Museum, Italian National Institute and Museum of the History of Science (Nineteenth and Twentieth Century Collections), Florence. Master of arts in the history and philosophy of Science (joint degree) at the École Normale Supérieure (ENS) and Paris Diderot University (now University of Paris) with dissertation on the history of the concept of polymorphism in the life sciences between the mid nineteenth and the mid twentieth century. Master of Philosophy in the history and philosophy of science and medicine at Cambridge University with scholarship from the Region of Tuscany and dissertation entitled "Darwin’s Flowers and Wallace's Butterflies in the History of Polymorphism". Currently research assistant at the IMGWF, and PhD student within the project "The Construction of Diagrams of Relatedness in the History of Natural History and Genetics, 17th to 20th Century", financed by the Swiss National Science Foundation, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. phil. Staffan Müller-Wille.
